David Loveday currently serves as a Staff Attorney focusing on Strategic Litigation for Europe at the International Refugee Assistance Project since June 2023. Prior to this role, David has worked as an Independent legal practitioner since 2016, and held positions such as Litigating Counsel at Asylrättscentrum and Electoral Campaign Manager for Socialdemokraterna i Stockholm. David was the Chair of the International Commission of Jurists (Swedish section) from 2016 to 2018 and was a Partner at Advokatfirman Öberg & Associés AB, leading both the Human Rights and Migration Law practices. Previous experience includes barrister roles in public law, planning, environmental law, and general commercial law at various firms including 4-5 Gray's Inn Square Chambers. David's academic credentials include a Master of Laws from UCL and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Oxford, along with several other legal qualifications.
