Nasim Sharafi

Nasim Sharafi is an experienced professional in the fields of refugee assistance and legal support. Currently serving as a Complementary Pathways Caseworker at the International Refugee Assistance Project since June 2021, Nasim conducts interviews with vulnerable refugees and provides legal and administrative assistance for family reunification and other pathways to safety. As an elected member of Der Integrationsbeirat since August 2019, Nasim actively contributes to integration efforts. Previous roles include Legal Assistant at Rechtsanwalt Dieter Bollmann, Workshop Facilitator and Translator at Kommunale Flüchtlingesberatung, and Regional Coordinator for the Ruhi Institute Board. Nasim also has valuable research experience, having interned at the UN Office of the Baha'i International Community and CMI (Crisis Management Initiative). Nasim holds a Master of Laws in International Human Rights and Humanitarian Law from European-University Viadrina and a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science, Iranian Studies, and Philosophy from Concordia University.
