Sarah Gengler is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in program management and research related to security and humanitarian challenges. Currently serving as a Program Manager in the Asia Division at the International Republican Institute since January 2022, Sarah oversees research activities and field operations. Prior experience includes roles as Research Manager and Research Analyst at Sayara International, where Sarah managed methodologies and conducted qualitative and quantitative analyses on issues such as migration, violent extremism, and gender equality. Sarah also served as a Teaching English for Livelihoods volunteer with the Peace Corps and represented youth perspectives on women’s rights at the United Nations' Commission on the Status of Women as a Youth Delegate for SustainUS. Sarah holds a Master of Arts in Security Studies from Georgetown University and a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations with a focus on Human Rights, Conflict Studies, and Political Science from Hamline University.
