Kate Sylvester

Kate Sylvester is an accomplished professional with a strong background in finance and community engagement. Currently serving as the Budget & Planning Manager at the International Rescue Committee since April 2022, Kate oversees financial data collection and manages a diverse team of finance specialists across multiple locations. Prior experience includes roles as Grants Coordinator and Director of Community Investment and Partner Relations at the United Way of Greater Chattanooga, as well as various positions at Athletes in Action. An alumnus of the University of Virginia, Kate earned a Bachelor of Arts degree with a double major in Foreign Affairs and Italian Studies and a minor in Women and Gender Studies. Throughout academic and professional pursuits, Kate has demonstrated a commitment to leadership, collaboration, and community involvement.
