Ruben Chandrasekar is the Regional Director - East, Resettlement, Asylum & Integration at the International Rescue Committee. Ruben has over 15 years of experience in designing and managing programs that inform immigrants and refugees of their rights and responsibilities in the U.S. As Program Director at the American Friends Service Committee, they created and managed programs that informed immigrants and refugees of their rights and responsibilities in the U.S. Ruben also developed the leadership skills of immigrants to advocate for themselves and contribute positively to their communities.
Ruben Chandrasekar's educational career includes completing a graduate civic leadership program at GBC Leadership Program, as well as earning a master's degree and bachelor's degree in sociology from Binghamton University and Baldwin Wallace University, respectively.
