Samira Mirza

Samira Mirza is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in investigations and compliance. Currently serving as the Senior Investigator and Safeguarding Lead for the Ethics and Compliance Unit at the International Rescue Committee since August 2017, Samira oversees a team addressing violations of the IRC Way, Code of Professional Conduct, and relevant laws across Asia, Europe, and the U.S. Previous roles include Co-Acting Senior Director of Investigations and Investigator for the same organization, with a focus on handling allegations of staff misconduct and ensuring adherence to international investigative standards. Samira's career also encompasses leadership positions at Morgan Stanley, the United Nations, Control Risks, Investigative Group International, and Kroll, complemented by an M.B.A. and a Master's in International Relations from Boston University, as well as a Bachelor's Degree from the University of Vermont.
