Shabira Nupur

Shabira Nupur possesses extensive experience in advocacy, communication, and program management within humanitarian and development sectors. Currently serving as the Head of Advocacy and Communication at the International Rescue Committee since August 2020, Shabira previously held the position of Deputy Director for Advocacy and Justice for Children at World Vision from January 2012 to June 2020, where Shabira led initiatives that shaped advocacy strategies and coordinated efforts across various humanitarian responses in Bangladesh. Earlier roles include Advocacy Officer at Padakhep Manabik Unnayan Kendra, Fund Raising Officer at Bangladesh Environment and Development Organization, and Trainer at multiple organizations focused on capacity building and community empowerment. Shabira's academic credentials include a Master in Public Affairs from the University of Dhaka and participation in the Geneva Summer Schools program focused on children's rights.
