Tracy Reines

Regional Director-East, Resettlement, Asylum & Integration at International Rescue Committee

Tracy Reines is the current Regional Director-East for Resettlement, Asylum, and Integration at the International Rescue Committee (IRC). Tracy has over 20 years of experience in international humanitarian response and relief operations.

Tracy began their career in 2000 with the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, where they worked in various field-based positions for 16 years. In 2002, Tracy joined the American Red Cross, where they served as the Sr. Associate for the International Family Assistance Program and September 11 Recovery Program. In 2005, Tracy was promoted to Director of the International Response Operations Center, a position they held for 11 years.

In January of 2003, Tracy joined the IRC as the Education Program Manager. In this role, Tracy coordinated with national government and local stakeholders to drive new and existing programs in capacity development; including teacher training, procurement, and school construction. Tracy also increased education for 7,000 girls in 400 home based and government schools. In 2004, Tracy was promoted to their current role as Regional Director-East for Resettlement, Asylum, and Integration. In this role, Tracy manages all aspects of the IRC’s resettlement program in 26 states across the eastern United States.

Tracy Reines earned a Master’s Degree in International Education Policy from Harvard University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication Studies from the University of San Diego.
