Kristin Johnson is a seasoned civil engineer and disaster recovery specialist with extensive experience in disaster recovery and resilience. Currently serving as a civil engineer and disaster recovery specialist at NOVACES since June 2019, Kristin acts as a liaison between government entities and applicants to ensure effective project execution for FEMA Public Assistance. As Vice President and Chief Resilience Officer at the International Sustainable Resilience Center, Kristin leverages expertise in resilience sanctioned by the United Nations. Previous roles include Project Manager and Civil Engineer at Arcadis, where Kristin assisted municipalities in post-disaster recovery efforts, and Operations Manager at SBP, overseeing disaster recovery initiatives in South Louisiana. Kristin started a career as a Civil and Environmental Engineer with the US Army Corps of Engineers, focusing on various projects related to flood protection and emergency management. Kristin holds a Master’s degree in Emergency and Disaster Management from Georgetown University and a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering from Lehigh University.
