Hunter Powers

Hunter Powers has a diverse and extensive work experience. Hunter started their career as a Senior Engineer at Personify Corp, where they led front-end development for the Association Management System (AMS) Personify 360. Hunter then moved on to roles at Jibe, Inc., where they served as a Senior Software Engineer Team Lead and later as a Manager of Software Engineering. During their time there, they introduced a multi-tenant SaaS architecture and managed the software development lifecycle.

Hunter's career then took him to Social Tables, where they held the positions of Director of Engineering and later VP of Engineering (Head of ENG). Hunter played a crucial role in hiring and nurturing engineering talent, guided product strategy, and developed the company's artificial intelligence/machine learning (AI/ML) competency.

Following their roles at Social Tables, Hunter co-founded MassClarity, a company focused on decentralized distributed data protocols leveraging blockchain technology. Hunter served as the Co-Founder and CTO, responsible for inventing novel AI and ML architecture and raising funds.

Hunter then joined Basket as the Chief Technology Officer, where they led a team of over 130 employees and established an artificial intelligence/machine learning (AI/ML) competency. Hunter scaled legacy systems to support national TV appearances and completed multiple diligence rounds supporting new investments.

Additionally, Hunter had roles as an Expert Technology Consultant at GLG (Gerson Lehrman Group) and as a Member of the CTO Advisory Board at Bessemer Venture Partners. Hunter also served as a Member of the Forbes Technology Council.

Most recently, Hunter held the position of Vice President of Machine Learning at Interos Inc. Hunter played a fundamental role in guiding the company's AI product strategy, hiring ML engineers and data engineers, and leading various engineering and product generative-AI projects. Hunter also raised significant funding for the company.

Throughout their career, Hunter has worked with notable clients such as NASA, DOD, Mastercard, MassMutual, Delta, Disney, Walmart, Kellogg's, Nestle, McKinsey, Allrecipes, Sears, IRI, UBS, Barclays, IHG, MGM, Hyatt, Hilton, Marriott, Live Nation, and more.

Hunter Powers earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree from the University of Virginia between 2002 and 2006. Currently, they are pursuing a Master's Degree in Computer Science from the Georgia Institute of Technology, starting in 2015. Hunter has also obtained certifications including Blockchain Masterclass Certification from Chainhaus and Microsoft Certified Professional from Microsoft. Additionally, Hunter earned the Advanced Open Water Diver certification from PADI in 1999.
