Ryan Washington

Ryan Washington has a diverse work experience spanning from 2000 to 2022. Ryan started their career as a UNIX Administrator at Network Access Solutions and later worked as a Senior Consultant at Exodus Communications. Ryan then joined Nextel as a Senior UNIX Administrator. Ryan then moved on to Crucial Security, where they held roles such as Forensics Demi-Czar and Department Manager, Digital Forensic Analysis. Ryan also worked at ASI as a Principal Forensic Intelligence Analyst before starting their own company, AR Forensics, LLC, where they served as President and CEO. Ryan Washington then joined Amazon Web Services as a Security Engineer/Forensic Investigator and later as a Security Consultant, Threat Detection & Incident Response.

After their time at Amazon, Ryan worked at Cetera Financial Group as a Cloud Architect, focused on performing cloud migration of on-prem applications to AWS and designing new cloud-native security initiatives. Ryan then joined Ancestry as a Staff Cloud Security Engineer. Currently, Ryan is working at Interos Inc as a Principal Cloud and Security Engineer, where they are involved in cost reduction, automation, security improvements, and designing multi-tiered AWS Cloud architecture.

Ryan Washington obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Management from National Louis University from 2001 to 2003. Ryan then pursued an MBA in Management from Indiana University - Kelley School of Business from 2004 to 2006. In addition to their formal education, Ryan has obtained multiple certifications, including Terraform Associate, Amazon Web Services Security Specialty, Amazon Web Services SysOps Administrator - Associate, Amazon Web Services Developer - Associate, Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Amazon Web Services Cloud Practitioner, Amazon Web Services Solutions Architect Associate, (ISC)2 Security CISSP (ISC2-CISSP), Amazon Web Services Certified Database - Specialty, Amazon Web Services Alexa Skill Builder, Amazon Web Services DevOps Engineer - Professional, and Amazon Web Services Solutions Architect - Professional.
