Bishoy Melek

Bishoy Melek has a diverse work experience in the software engineering field. Bishoy is currently employed at interVal as a Software Engineer starting from June 2022. Prior to this, they co-founded Djed in July 2021, where they aimed to connect highly-skilled talents in the Middle East with teams worldwide. Bishoy also worked as a Software Engineer at Modus Capital from February 2022.

Before that, they were a Software Engineer at We.Publish from December 2020 to January 2022. Here, they contributed to building a headless CMS using the latest technologies to aid publishers and newspapers in their digital work.

Bishoy's previous role as a Software Engineer at Raseedy, from May 2019 to October 2020, involved designing and implementing a state management library and creating a frontend boilerplate project.

Bishoy also worked at Injazat Data Systems as a Software Engineer from November 2018 to April 2019, where they delivered reusable React components and integrated services with entities in the Emirates.

Bishoy began their career as a Freelance Full-stack Developer at Upwork from January 2017 to October 2018. During this time, they implemented new designs and themes for websites.

Additionally, they worked as a Software Engineer - Tech Co-founder at ambulancers from April 2016 to July 2017. Here, their key responsibilities included building a hybrid mobile app and assisting with backend development tasks.

Bishoy Melek attended Goldsmiths, University of London from 2018 to 2023, where they pursued a Bachelor of Creative Computing degree with a focus on Computer Science. In addition, in August 2018, they participated in the Hajj Hackathon and obtained a certification as a hackathon participant. Bishoy also received a certification in cloud computing management from the University of Maryland University College in August 2018.
