Josse van Galen

Scientist Analytical Biochemistry, Assay Development at Intravacc

Josse van Galen has a diverse work experience in the field of biochemistry and protein chemistry. Josse currently works as a Scientist Analytical Biochemistry and Assay Development at Intravacc since 2020. Prior to this, they worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher in Protein Chemistry at Sanquin Bloedvoorziening from 2015 to 2019. In this role, they investigated protein-protein interactions using HDX Mass Spectrometry, developed protein producing cell lines, designed and characterized therapeutic proteins, and served as an HDX expert for own projects and external parties. Before that, they worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher in Cell Biology at the Center for Genomic Regulation (CRG) from 2008 to 2015. Josse also gained experience as a PhD Student at Universiteit Utrecht from 2003 to 2008.

Josse van Galen completed a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree at Utrecht University, from 2003 to 2008. Prior to that, from 1997 to 2003, they pursued a Master's degree in Biomedical Sciences, General, also at Utrecht University.
