Gene Golovinsky

Gene Golovinsky has a diverse work experience spanning multiple prestigious companies. Gene currently holds the position of VP Security R&D at Intuit since August 2022. Prior to this, they served as VP Security R&D and GM Global Development Center Israel at Intuit from January 2019 to August 2022. Before that, they were the Director of Security R&D at Intuit from August 2014 to January 2019, where they played a key role in various endeavors, such as leading an acquisition of a Key Management and Encryption start-up and enabling the secure migration of flagship apps to AWS.

In addition to their work at Intuit, Gene Golovinsky has also held positions at other notable companies. Gene was a Villager at Team8 since January 2022, where they actively participated in a global community of cyber security senior executives and thought leaders. Gene served as the VP R&D at Limelight Networks from August 2013 to July 2014, overseeing the development and testing of product lines such as CDN, Performance, Video Platform and Delivery, and Agile Cloud Storage. Gene Golovinsky also worked as the Chief Architect and Director at Qualys from October 2011 to February 2013 and as the VP and Partner at CHG Consulting Services from June 2011 to February 2012.

Prior to these roles, Gene Golovinsky held the position of VP R&D at AlertLogic from September 2006 to June 2011. During their tenure, they implemented a global sourcing strategy and achieved several notable milestones, including achieving PCI ASV certification and receiving the "SC Magazine Best Buy" reward. Gene also served as the Sr. Director of R&D and Product Line Manager at BMC Software from 1999 to 2006, leading large geographically distributed development teams and contributing to significant cost savings through the development of common software and components. Gene Golovinsky started their career as a Software Developer at Lannet Communications in 1992.

Gene Golovinsky received a Master of Science (MS) degree in Computer Engineering from Leningrad (St. Petersburg) University of Communication and Transport and Emperor Alexander I St. Petersburg State Transport University from 1983 to 1988.
