Melis Sönmez

Melis Sönmez has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Their most recent position is as a Principal Design Strategist at Intuit, starting in April 2023. Prior to that, they worked at The Clorox Company as a Senior Innovation & Strategy Manager, Global from November 2020 to December 2022. In this role, Melis led cross-functional teams and trained teams on human-centered design. Melis also worked as a Senior Innovation Strategist and Researcher at Jump Associates from September 2019 to November 2020, where they managed projects blending design, user research, and business strategy. Melis also has experience at DuPuis Group as a Senior Design Researcher and Design Researcher from July 2014 to July 2019. Additionally, they founded Bright Side in January 2017 and worked as a Founder until July 2019. Melis started their career as a Design Strategy Intern at Soulsight Madrid in June 2013 and as a Product Design Intern at Hyundai Motor Europe in July 2010.

Melis Sönmez holds a Master's Degree in Brand Communication from Politecnico di Milano. Prior to that, Melis obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Industrial and Product Design from Eastern Mediterranean University. In 2020, Melis also completed the Stagen Foundational Leadership Course offered by the Stagen Leadership Academy.
