Lead Software Engineer - Simulation And Modeling at Intuitive Machines

Lucas Ward is an experienced aerospace engineer and software developer with a strong focus on simulation and modeling in the aerospace sector. Currently serving as the Lead Software Engineer for Intuitive Machines since December 2015, Lucas oversees the software development for the simulation and modeling team, specifically for the Nova-C and related Commercial Lunar Payload Services program vehicles. Previous roles include Senior Development Engineer for both the Nova-C and Orion programs, contributing to critical software simulations and development efforts using languages such as Python, C++, and Java. Earlier experience includes positions at Emergent Space Technologies and L-3 Communications, where Lucas worked on notable projects such as OSIRIS-REx and various simulations for NASA initiatives. Lucas holds a Master of Science in Aerospace Engineering Sciences from the University of Colorado Boulder and a Bachelor of Science in Physics from Truman State University.
