Joao Goncalves has over 20 years of professional experience in various roles. Joao began their career in 1998 as a Marketing Assistant at InstallShield Software Corp. In 1999, they became an International Channel Sales Manager at MathSoft Engineering and Education, Inc. Joao then moved to Agilitas Consultoria, Lda in 2003 as a Business Developer. From 2005 to 2006, they worked as an Inside Sales Representative at @Last Software. In 2006, they joined Google as a Google Enterprise Sales Representative and was promoted to a SketchUp Sales Coordinator in May 2010. In 2010, they began working at Coveo as a Regional Sales Manager EMEA. Joao then moved to xdot GmbH, a Convotis AG company in 2012 as the Head of Sales. In 2013, they became an Enterprise Account Manager at Zend Technologies GmbH. In 2014, they started working at Varonis Systems Deutschland GmbH as an Enterprise Sales Representative. Finally, in 2015, they joined Invaluable as a Country Manager DACH and an Account Manager DACH. During their time at Invaluable, they achieved a number of accomplishments, such as receiving the "Employee of the Month" award for the overall results in 2021 in the DACH territory and for a special project of BI reporting they created with Looker that is now available for the rest of the team. Joao also achieved two consecutive record-breaking years in the DACH territory history, with advertising sales revenue up by 18% per year on average.

Joao Goncalves obtained their Licenciatura in Business Management from Universidade do Porto between 1990 and 1996. Joao also completed a Business Studies program at Swansea University between 1994 and 1995.
