Lead Parachute Development Engineer at Inversion

Connor Kelsay has a wealth of experience in engineering and skydiving. In 2021, they began working as a Lead Parachute Development Engineer for Inversion. From 2016 to 2021, they were employed at Airborne Systems, where they held the roles of Project Engineer, Production Engineer, and Design Engineer. During this time, they led projects, coordinated technical details between their team and customers, developed a new R&D process, and tested experimental personnel parachutes. From 2016 to 2015, they worked as an AFF and Tandem Skydive Instructor for Skydive Elsinore and Pacific Northwest Skydiving Center, respectively. In 2015, they were the Payload Design Lead & Marketing Liaison for the Oregon State Rocketry Team, which won the advanced category of the largest collegiate rocketry competition in the world. From 2011 to 2015, they were a Mechanical Engineering Student at Oregon State University, a Mechanical Engineering MECOP Intern at Warne Scope Mounts and PCC Airfoils, and a Vice President and Scholarship Chairman for Phi Kappa Psi Fraternity. In 2014, they were a Skydive Coach at Kapowsin Air Sports.

Connor Kelsay has a diverse educational background. Connor obtained an Honors Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Oregon State University between 2011 and 2016. Connor then continued their education at Purdue University, where they earned an MS in Aeronautics and Astronautics with a focus on Aerospace Systems and Aerodynamics, which they completed in 2023. Additionally, they hold certifications in AFF Instructor, Explosives Safety, Security Clearance, and Tandem Skydive Master from the United States Parachute Association and W.E.S.T. Incorporated.
