Lauren Washington

Lauren Washington is the Assistant General Counsel at Invest Atlanta. Lauren was previously an Associate Attorney at Thomas Kennedy Sampson & Tompkins from November 2016 to August 2017. Prior to that, they were a Law Intern/Attorney at R. Gary Spencer, P.C. from August 2015 to November 2016. Lauren began their career as a 7th Grade English Teacher at Freedom Preparatory Academy Charter Schools from January 2010 to December 2012.

Lauren Washington received a Doctor of Law (JD) from the University of Georgia School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in English Language and Literature, General from the University of Michigan College of Literature, Science, and the Arts.

Lauren Washington reports to Rosalind Rubens Newell, General Counsel & SVP, Legal & Compliance. They work with Lisa Flagg - Assistant General Counsel, Christa Freeman - Assistant General Counsel, and Christie Barnes - Assistant General Counsel.
