Buket Oktem

Buket Oktem has a diverse work experience in corporate communications and public relations. Buket is currently working at the Investment Management Corporation of Ontario (IMCO) as a Director, Internal Communications since 2017. Prior to that, they held the position of Senior Manager, Corporate Communications at IMCO from November 2017 to September 2023. Before joining IMCO, Buket worked at Tangerine as a Corporate Communications Manager, where they developed leadership and organizational communications and collaborated with internal stakeholder groups. Buket also served as a Public Relations Manager at Tangerine from 2011 to 2014. Buket was a PR Consultant at Maverick Public Relations from 2006 to 2010. Additionally, they worked as a Staff Writer at Transcontinental Media from September 2005 to December 2006, specifically for ITBusiness.ca and Computer Dealer News.

Buket Oktem obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and History from the University of Toronto - Victoria University, where they studied from 1996 to 2001. Following this, they pursued a Post Graduate Diploma in Journalism at Humber College, completing it from 2002 to 2004.
