Kira James

Kira James, CHRL has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies. Kira most recently served as the Senior Vice President, Human Resources at the Investment Management Corporation of Ontario, where they led a team in translating business vision into human capital strategies. Prior to that, they were the Vice President of Human Resources at IMCO and focused on supporting the merger and build of a new asset manager for Ontario's Broader Public Sector.

Before their role at IMCO, Kira worked at the Workplace Safety & Insurance Board as an HR Business Partner, where they provided executive guidance and scenario planning to clients and developed HR products and tools to support initiatives and align with corporate strategy. Kira also has experience as an HR Business Partner at Kobo Inc., where they built and led a global HR team and implemented strategies for employee engagement and culture.

Additionally, Kira has held various positions at the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board, City of Toronto, and Indigo, where they gained experience in talent acquisition, HR consulting, and project coordination.

Kira James, CHRL, obtained a Masters Certificate in Organization Development and Change Management from Schulich ExecEd in 2018. Kira is a Certified Human Resources Leader (CHRL) by HRPA - Human Resources Professionals Association since 2010.
