Job Summary
This professional will be a core member of Investure’s Investment Team focusing on Portfolio Management and will be an important participant in all aspects of portfolio construction decision-making. Investure operates with a long-term, ownership-oriented, fundamental investment philosophy, and this person will contribute to the execution of that philosophy through a combination of (i) sourcing macroeconomic and thematic investment opportunities, (ii) developing tools and processes to inform portfolio management decision-making, (iii) monitoring and managing portfolio risk exposures, (iv) creating process to ensure data accuracy, and (v) executing portfolio-shaping trades.
Candidates must be innately curious, self-catalyzing, and open-minded. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong work ethic, a passion for investing, strong quantitative abilities, and the ability to execute with a balance of creativity and discipline. Cultural fit, humility, and maturity are imperative. The Investment Team operates on a hybrid schedule of four days in-office (subject to travel).

Essential Functions

  • Enhance the robustness of markets research efforts by identifying macro trends and proposing top-down investment opportunities.

  • Monitor factor exposure, liquidity, and other risk characteristics of the top-down portfolio and make recommendations for rebalancing or otherwise adjusting such exposures.

  • Lead projects to design and develop new portfolio management tools and processes, leveraging quantitative and programming skills.

  • Perform bespoke modeling or other analysis as needed, to support client requests or to make portfolio shaping decisions.

  • Coordinate with the broader Investure team to ensure client reporting is correct, month end liquidity needs are met, and debt covenants and policy statement limits are all in compliance.

  • Execute trades across a variety of public markets.

Responsibilities and title will ultimately be commensurate with the professional’s experience and demonstrated faculties and judgment.

Education, Experience & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree required; finance, math, business or technical degree preferred; MBA or CFA a plus

  • 5+ years professional work experience in investments; direct trading experience a plus

  • Excellent quantitative aptitude and Excel modeling capabilities; database management and programming skills a plus

  • Experience designing and leading process improvement projects

  • Quick learner, process-oriented, with excellent attention to detail

  • Exceptional work ethic; team player with strong communication skills

  • Experience collaborating in a multi-disciplinary, diverse, and dynamic team
