Rick O'Connor has a diverse and extensive work experience in various roles and industries. Rick is currently the Chief Executive Officer at Invicta Medical, a position they assumed in April 2020. Prior to that, they served as the Chief Operating Officer at Invicta Medical from July 2019 to April 2020.

Before joining Invicta Medical, Rick worked at Triple Ring Technologies for seven years, starting in 2012. Rick held the position of SVP Technology and Development from February 2015 to June 2019. Before their tenure at Boston Scientific, Rick founded and served as the President, CEO, and Founder of DreamWings Biomechanics from June 2000 to February 2007. DreamWings Biomechanics specialized in whip lash and neck strain solutions for automotive, medical, and consumer applications. The company developed and licensed technologies to prominent automotive and aero suppliers, including BMW and GM.

Rick also had a role as the Director of Product Development at St. Jude Medical/Ventritex from 1995 to 2000. Rick began their career as the Manager of Engineering at Lectus Medical from June 1991 to August 1995. Prior to that, they served as a Captain and Flight Test Director in the US Air Force from May 1986 to May 1991.

Rick O'Connor attended Clarkson University from 1982 to 1986, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Aerospace/Mechanical Engineering. Rick then pursued further studies at the Air Force Institute of Technology-Graduate School of Engineering & Management from 1987 to 1990, specializing in Aerospace Engineering and Computer Science. Although the degree name is not provided for this period, it is implied that Rick O'Connor completed some form of graduate coursework or research. Later, from 1995 to 1997, they attended the University of San Francisco School of Management, where they obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a focus on Business Administration.
