Andreas Prlić

Andreas Prlić, PhD has extensive experience in the field of bioinformatics and genetics. Andreas is currently serving as the Principal Engineer in the Genetic Insights Group at Invitae, where they lead the development of scalable genetics solutions. Prior to this, they worked as an Engineering Lead and Tech Lead at Invitae, focusing on the scalability of genetics technologies.

Dr. Prlić also has experience in academia and research. Andreas worked at the Public Library of Science as a Software Editor, where they built up the software section of the journal with a focus on publishing impactful open source software. Andreas also served as a Technical and Scientific Team Lead at the University of California, San Diego's RCSB Protein Data Bank, leading a team involved in international collaborations and the development of bioinformatics algorithms and applications.
