Tim Melton

Tim Melton has extensive experience in sales and government relations. Tim is currently working as the Vice President of Sales at InvoiceCloud, Inc. starting from December 2021. Prior to that, they served as the Senior Vice President of Sales at RapidDeploy from April 2021 to December 2021.

Before joining RapidDeploy, Tim held positions at OpenGov Inc. from July 2016 to April 2021. Tim started as a Director of Strategic Accounts and later became the Vice President of Sales. At OpenGov, they worked towards powering more effective and accountable government by providing timely spending information and facilitating communication between public servants and citizens.

From October 2011 to June 2016, Tim worked as the Vice President of Government Relations at StudentsFirst. Tim led a national team of state political operatives, bringing about significant changes in education policies across 18 states. Tim also acted as an executive-level advisor to CEO Michelle Rhee.

Tim's career started in 2007 as a State Representative in the Michigan House of Representatives, where they served the Pontiac and Auburn Hills areas. Tim held leadership roles including Assistant Majority Floor Leader and Chair of the House Education Committee. In this committee, they successfully implemented bipartisan educational reforms such as merit pay, takeovers of failing schools, charter school legislation, and effective evaluations using student data.
