Olivier Kloss

Olivier Kloss has a diverse work experience in software development and technology roles. Olivier is currently working as a Principal Software Engineer at InVue since August 2021. Prior to this, they served as a Senior Software Developer at InVue from May 2019 to July 2021.

Before joining InVue, Olivier worked at Fresche Solutions as a Lead Java Developer starting from October 2016. In this role, they provided expertise in Java, software development life cycle, and software architecture. Olivier also participated in discussions and meetings with customers, both on-site and off-site. Olivier contributed to the conversion of a web client from JSP to a modern JavaScript front-end application.

Prior to Fresche Solutions, Olivier worked at SOLABS where they held various roles. Olivier started as a Software Developer in August 2003, where they worked on implementing enhancements and bug fixes for SOLABS QM. Olivier also played a role in code review, refactoring, and translation support. Later, they became a Project Manager in July 2008, overseeing upgrades of SOLABS QM and communicating with clients. Olivier also served as a Director of Technology from January 2009 to December 2013, leading the development of SOLABS QM's backend and migrating code versioning to a cloud-based provider. Additionally, they worked as a Principal/Lead Application Developer, responsible for reviewing technical decisions and integrating JBPM and Solr into SOLABS QM. Olivier also held the position of Software Architect, where they added support for SAML SSO, integrated with Office 365, and integrated external training providers.

Olivier's earliest work experience was as a Web Developer Intern at Copernic in 2000.

Olivier Kloss completed their education with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science (COOP) from Université de Sherbrooke. Olivier attended this institution from 1999 to 2002. Prior to that, they pursued a diploma in Computer Systems (TSO) at Cégep Limoilou from 1994 to 1998. Olivier has also obtained several certifications throughout their career. In 2006, they became a Sun Certified Java Programmer through Sun Microsystems. In 2016, they achieved an Oracle Certified Associate, Java SE 8 Programmer certification from Oracle. Most recently, in December 2019, they completed a certification called "Front-End Web Development with React" from Coursera.
