Misbah Sherwani

Misbah Sherwani has a wide range of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, with a strong focus on quality assurance and compliance. Misbah is currently working as the Vice President of Quality at IO Biotech, starting in October 2023. Prior to this, they held the role of Corporate Quality at Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals from November 2020 to August 2023. Misbah also worked at Akorn, Inc as the Executive Director of Corporate Quality from May 2018 to October 2020, and as the Executive Director of Quality from January 2017 to May 2018. Before that, they served as the Director of Quality & Compliance at Glatt Air Techniques from August 2012 to December 2016, and as the Director of Quality Assurance at Halo Pharmaceutical from November 2009 to September 2012. Misbah held the role of Director of QAIG at Actavis Pharmaceuticals from January 2008 to November 2009, and was a Manager of Quality Information at Pliva Inc. from July 2005 to January 2008. Prior to that, they worked as a Compliance Coordinator at Hoffmann-La Roche from September 2003 to June 2005, and as a Compliance Auditor at Halsey Drug Company from October 2002 to September 2003. Misbah began their career as a QA Auditor at Penwest Pharmaceuticals from March 2002 to September 2002.

Misbah Sherwani earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology and History from New York University, where they studied from 1994 to 1998. Misbah later pursued a Master's degree in Industrial Pharmacy from Long Island University from 1999 to 2002.
