Martin Bjarke Kragh Nielsen has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Martin currently holds the position of Principal Technical Artist at IO Interactive since June 2018. Martin previously served as Lead Effects Artist at the same company from September 2012. Prior to that, they worked as a VFX / Technical Environment Artist at IO Interactive from December 2010 to September 2012, and from May 2010 to December 2010. During their time at IO Interactive, they contributed to the development of AAA games such as Hitman Absolution and Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days.

Apart from their work at IO Interactive, Nielsen has also worked as a Teaching Assistant at Aalborg University Copenhagen from September 2005 to May 2006. Martin was employed as a Technical and Environment Artist at Zeitguyz Game Developers from August 2006 to May 2008. Additionally, Nielsen has served as an External Examiner at Tietgen Skolen / Odense Technical School in May 2009 and June 2007.

Before transitioning into the gaming industry, Nielsen worked as a Multimediadesigner at Global IT Systems from February 2003 to July 2004. Their early work experience includes a role as Harbour Master Assistant at Kerteminde Harbour and Marina from April 1999 to September 2000.

Martin Bjarke Kragh Nielsen's education history begins in 1998 when they attended Odense Technical College and obtained a High School degree. Martin continued their education at Odense Technical School from 2001 to 2002, where they focused on Webdesign, multimedia development, and 3d graphics in the field of study called Digital Media. From 2002 to 2004, they attended the Center of Visual Communication and Design, where they pursued a degree in Multimediadesigner. During this time, they studied graphics design, web and multimedia development, as well as communication and marketing. Martin then enrolled at Aalborg University from 2004 to 2006, where they earned a B.Sc. Medialogy degree in Realtime graphic design. In addition to these formal education experiences, Martin also attended the Game Developers Conference in 2007 and 2011, although no specific degree or field of study is mentioned for these events.
