Milan Blazevic has diverse work experience in the fields of technology and education. Starting in 2015, they worked as a Teaching Assistant at the University of Rijeka, where they provided support in educational activities. In 2017, they transitioned to become a Math and Computer Science Teacher at Prva susacka hrvatska gimnazija u Rijeci, where they taught students in these subjects for four years. Most recently, Milan joined iOLAP in 2021 as a Cloud Data Engineer. In this role, they are responsible for architecting and building scalable cloud big data pipelines, data lakes, and databases. Milan also works on various projects involving streaming, event-driven and serverless applications, microservices and APIs, ETL workflows, and frontend and backend development. Milan is skilled in AWS, Python, Apache Spark, SQL, React, JavaScript, Golang, Bash, Docker and containers, unit testing, infrastructure as code, deployment automation, and CI/CD. Additionally, they serve as a mentor in the iOLAP Academy Python and AWS program.
Milan Blazevic completed their education in a chronological manner. From 2010 to 2013, they attended the University of Rijeka, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Mathematics. Following this, from 2013 to 2015, Milan pursued further studies at the University of Rijeka and obtained a Master of Science (MS) degree in Mathematics and Computer Science.
In addition to their academic qualifications, Milan Blazevic obtained a certification as an AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in December 2022.
