Dr. Ronald Wichern

Dr. Ronald Wichern has an extensive work experience in quality management and regulatory affairs. Dr. Ronald most recently served as the Chief Quality Officer at IBA since September 2023. Prior to that, they were the General Manager (VP) of Corporate Quality Management & Regulatory Affairs at Olympus Europa SE & Co. KG from February 2017 to August 2023. Dr. Wichern also held various positions at Drägerwerk AG & Co. KGaA, including Vice President of Integrated Management System from January 2014 to August 2016, and Vice President of Q&RA Region Europe, MEA, CSA from July 2012 to August 2016. Before joining Drägerwerk, they worked at Dräger Medical GmbH as the Director of Quality System Management from July 2005 to June 2012. Additionally, Dr. Wichern gained experience as a Process Consultant at the same company from October 2003 to June 2005. Dr. Ronald also worked as a Senior Consultant at UBIS GmbH / PSI AG from 2000 to 2003, and as a Consultant at Intospace GmbH from 1997 to 2000.

Dr. Ronald Wichern obtained a Diplom in Physik from the University of Hamburg from 1986 to 1992. Dr. Ronald then pursued their Promotion in Physik from TU Twente, NL, from 1992 to 1997. In addition to their formal education, they have obtained certifications in various subjects, including "Grow to Greatness: Smart Growth for Private Businesses, Part II" and "Grow to Greatness: Smart Growth for Private Businesses, Part I" from Coursera Course Certificates in 2017, as well as "eHealth: Combining Psychology, Technology and Health" from the University of Twente, obtained in 2016 through FutureLearn.
