Zakir Hossain

Zakir Hossain is a seasoned Senior Rock Physicist at ION Geophysical since September 2014, specializing in rock physics support for reservoir characterization. Prior experience includes roles as a Rock Physicist in Research and Development at Rock Solid Images, where workflows for various rock physics modeling techniques were developed, and as a Research Rock Physicist at Greengrain. A Research Fellow at the Technical University of Denmark focused on laboratory experiments related to rock physics and petrophysics, Zakir also served as a Visiting Research Scholar at Stanford University, collaborating on rock physics modeling and AVO. Zakir's academic background includes a PhD in Geophysics from DTU, as well as multiple engineering degrees in geomechanics and petroleum engineering from both DTU and Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia.
