Eric Wachsman

Eric Wachsman has held several roles in the energy industry. From 2006 to 2009, they were the Director of the Florida Institute for Sustainable Energy at the University of Florida. In 2009, they became the Director of the Maryland Energy Innovation Institute and the Director of the University of Maryland Energy Research Center. In 2018, they founded Ion Storage Systems. Most recently, in 2021, they were named President of ECS - The Electrochemical Society.

Eric Wachsman obtained a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley in 1982. Eric then went on to Stanford University where they received a Master of Science in Chemical Engineering in 1986 and a Doctor of Philosophy in Materials Science and Engineering in 1990.
