Michiel De Groot

Michiel De Groot has a long and varied work experience. Michiel began their career in 1991 as a Process Engineer at AMEC Engineering. In 1995, they moved to Tebodin Consultants and Engineers, where they were Manager of the Process Department. In 2006, they joined Shell Nederland Raffinaderij BV, where they held the roles of Project Leader Plantchanges, Assistant Plant Manager Polyols, and Process Engineer. In 2013, they moved to Shell Nederland Chemie BV, where they were Production Unit Manager MSPO-1. In 2016, they were promoted to Operational Excellence Specialist at the same company. In 2017, they started their own consultancy, Michiel de Groot Consultancy. In 2018, they joined Ioniqa Technologies as Special Project Manager and Chief Operations Officer.

Michiel De Groot obtained a Master's degree in Chemical Engineering from Delft University of Technology between 1986 and 1991.
