Darren Gonzales

Darren Gonzales is the SVP and Chief Accounting Officer at Ionis Pharmaceuticals. Darren has over 25 years of experience in accounting and finance.

Darren started their career at Arthur Andersen LLP as a senior auditor. Darren then moved to Phase Metrics, Inc. as a senior financial analyst. In June 1999, they joined Leap Wireless as the revenue accounting manager. Darren held this position until August 2004.

In their current role at Ionis Pharmaceuticals, they are responsible for all aspects of the company’s financial reporting, including SEC filings, internal financial statements, and management reporting. Darren also leads the finance team in supporting the business by providing accurate and timely information to enable sound decision-making.

Darren Gonzales reports to Elizabeth L. Hougen, Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer. They work with and Brian Lemay - VP, Tax.
