The board of directors at Ionis Pharmaceuticals has a history of experience in the pharmaceutical industry and pharmacology research. The current members have worked as the CEO and founder of the n-Lorem Foundation, the Vice President at SmithKline Beckman Corporation, and the President of Research & Development at Smith Kline and French Laboratories. Additionally, one member is currently the Director of the Bristol-Baylor Molecular Pharmacology Laboratory at Baylor College of Medicine. All members of the board have a minimum education of a pharmacology degree from Baylor College of Medicine.
