Arun Jagannathan

Arun Jagannathan is currently the Senior Manager of Hardware Architecture at IonQ since February 2024. Prior to this role, Arun served as a Senior Staff Engineer in Hardware for Hololens (AR/MR) at Microsoft from March 2022 to February 2024, and as a Senior Scientist in Product Development at Xerox from October 2021 to March 2022. With a strong background in quantum information and fingerprint biometric sensors, Arun's previous experience includes significant positions such as Principal Scientist at the Information Sciences Institute and a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Duke University, focusing on atomic physics and quantum optics. Educationally, Arun holds a Ph.D. in Physics (Quantum Optics) from Duke University, a Master's Degree in Physics (Optics) from the University of Massachusetts Lowell, and a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Electronics, and Communications Engineering from Anna University Chennai.
