Dominic Widdows has extensive work experience in the field of technology and language engineering. Dominic currently holds the position of Senior Principal Scientist at IonQ, starting in November 2021. Prior to that, they worked at LivePerson as a Senior Principal NLP Scientist from June 2020 to November 2021, where they focused on Conversational AI and Natural Language Understanding. Dominic also led the internationalization effort to extend NLU systems to support multiple languages.

Before joining LivePerson, Dominic had a significant tenure at Grab, starting in January 2016. Dominic held various roles, including Head of Ads Data Science, Head of Engineering for Data Enrichment, Engineering Lead, and Software Engineer. Dominic's career began at Google in 2007, where they worked as a Software Engineer until 2011. Before joining Google, they worked as a Senior Research Engineer at MAYA Design from 2004 to 2007 and at Stanford University from 2001 to 2004.
