Madelyn Kosednar-Hardy

Madelyn Kosednar-Hardy is an experienced Opto-Mechanical Engineer currently employed at IonQ since November 2023. Prior to this role, Kosednar-Hardy worked as a Mechanical Engineer at Sandia National Laboratories from February 2021 to November 2023. Education includes a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology (2019-2020) and a Bachelor's degree in the same field from Georgia Institute of Technology (2015-2019). Research experience encompasses work as a Graduate Research Assistant focusing on origami and robotic applications, where Kosednar-Hardy contributed to the development of origami designs, improved metamaterial production, and engaged in technical writing for publications and grant proposals. Additionally, experience as an Undergraduate Research Assistant included independent research on large-scale and thick panel origami.
