Sergiu Popescu

Sergiu Popescu is a software engineer with extensive experience in Rust and DevOps, currently working at IOTA since July 2024 and MASER ITALIA Srl, where a flagship product was modernized by rewriting it from C++ to Rust, achieving a 30% performance improvement. Previously, at AdInMo, optimization of an internal caching mechanism resulted in a 21% reduction in server resource utilization. Sergiu co-founded BLOCKvision, overseeing technical operations for a startup focused on supply-chain traceability using DLT and Blockchain. Additional roles include software engineering at Mayp and research on blockchain applications for electronic waste management while with Climate-KIC.
