Tami Quam

Tami Quam is currently serving as a Railroad/Highway Project Manager at the Iowa Department of Transportation since September 2022. Previously, Tami held positions including Senior Project Scientist at Cardno, where responsibilities included identifying environmental permitting and waste disposal needs for utility company projects, and serving as an On-call Environmental Scientist at JEO Consulting Group, Inc. From March 2015 to May 2019, Tami worked as an Environmental Specialist Senior at the Iowa Department of Transportation, assessing transportation projects for environmental impacts. Tami’s earlier experience includes a significant tenure at the Iowa Department of Natural Resources, where responsibilities included site assessments and oversight of contaminated sites. Tami began the professional career as an Environmental Scientist at Geotechnical Services, Inc., focusing on Phase I Environmental Site Assessments and compliance sampling. Tami holds a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science from Iowa State University, earned between 1998 and 2002.
