Joyce Long

Joyce Long is a co-founder and teaching staff member at Heartland Christian Writers Retreat, where Joyce facilitates a Christian Writers Critique Group and hosts retreats at Shepherds Gate Inn since January 2012. As a self-employed freelance writer and speaker since 2005, Joyce is completing an inspirational book titled "Walk in Love" and has presented at Christian women's conferences in India and Indiana. Previous experience includes a communications role at the Center for Global Impact from 2011 to 2013, marketing coordination at Mount Pleasant Church and Ministries from 2000 to 2010, and teaching language arts at Greenwood Middle School, IUPUI, Paul Hadley Jr. High School, and other institutions. Joyce holds a Masters of Science in Secondary Education from Indiana University–Purdue University Indianapolis and a Bachelor of Arts in English/Journalism from Ball State University.
