Daniel Martínez

Mechanical Design Engineer at IPG Energy

Daniel Martínez has a diverse range of work experience.

Daniel began their career at UNAM Motorsports, where they worked as a Lead Design Engineer from July 2012 to June 2014. In this role, they were responsible for analyzing CAD drawings and 3D models, providing review reports and feedback for design improvement, and designing, simulating, manufacturing, and testing car components. Daniel also worked closely with sponsors, material suppliers, and third-party manufacturers.

Following their time at UNAM Motorsports, Daniel joined the National Composites Certification and Evaluation Facility (NCCEF) as a Postgraduate Student from June 2014 to June 2016.

In 2017, they joined SHAPE Machining Ltd as a Research and Development Engineer, where they worked from June to November.

Currently, Daniel is working at IPG as a Production Engineer, a position they have held since April 2018.

Daniel Martínez obtained their Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México from 2009 to 2014. Following that, they pursued a Master of Philosophy (MPhil) in Materials Engineering from The University of Manchester from 2014 to 2016.
