Mechanical Design Engineer at IPG Energy

Luc Glanville's work experience starts from 2016 as an Engineer Intern at SKF Group. Luc gained experience in quality inspection, advanced assembly, and HR aspects of running an engineering business. In 2018 and 2019, Luc participated in engineering workshops organized by Engineers Without Borders UK and Engineering You're Hired! respectively, where they showcased their leadership and teamwork skills. From 2017 to 2019, they worked as a self-employed laborer, assisting interior designers, architects, and graphic designers in space planning, design details, and manual labor work in construction. In 2019, Luc also worked as a Sales Advisor at Stevensons Uniform Shop Harpenden, where they honed their technical and numeracy skills. At The University of Sheffield, Luc held various roles from 2017 to 2021, including Finite Element Analysis, Coding - Engineering Based (Mechatronics), Engineering Simulation Practices, and CAD and Technical Drawing. Their responsibilities involved ANSYS Mechanical, Fusion360, SolidWorks, and MATLAB to conduct engine mount lifetime analysis, space frame chassis modeling, kinematic model simulation, and technical drawing production. Luc achieved recognition for their research on space frame chassis behavior and optimization. Lastly, Luc currently works as a Graduate Mechanical Design Engineer at IPG, a British clean-tech company, where they contribute to the development of IPG's Flameless Generator, a near-zero carbon emissions power solution.

Luc Glanville attended St George's School, Harpenden from 2015 to 2017, where they pursued their A Levels in Photography, Physics, and Mathematics. After completing their A Levels, they enrolled at The University of Sheffield in 2017 and obtained a Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering in 2021.
