Igor Mereminskiy

Igor Mereminskiy has extensive work experience in the field of software engineering and design. Igor started their career as a Member of Technical Staff at Bell Lab, Lucent Technologies, where they provided contributions to ITU standards and conducted research on iterative and concatenated code constructions for SONET applications. Igor then worked as a Principal Engineer at Photonex Corporation, where they focused on simulation, performance verification, and FEC ASIC verification. Following that, they worked as a Principal Software Engineer at Photop Aegis, Inc., developing and implementing high-resolution peak detection and deconvolution algorithms for optical channel monitors. In 2013, they joined IPG Photonics as a Principal Software Engineer. Additionally, they founded AESEES Consulting and served as the Managing Partner and Design Engineer.

Igor Mereminskiy obtained their M.Sc. in Computer Science and Electrical Engineering from Omsk State Technical University (OSTU) between 1973 and 1978. Igor later pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Computer Science at The Institute for Information Transmission Problems of the Russian Academy of Sciences, completing it from 1983 to 1988.
