Andrew Garrett has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Andrew began their career in 1985 as a Junior Business Analyst at Esmerk Limited, where they monitored UK newspapers and provided summarized news items to international clients. Andrew then worked at Esmerk Information (HK) Ltd. from 1986 to 1990 as a Business Development professional, focusing on the Far East region. Andrew returned to Esmerk Limited in 1991 and served as a Sales Manager until 1997.

From 1997 to 1999, Andrew worked as a Business Development Executive at Pera Technology, selling engineering intelligence services to manufacturing-related companies. Andrew then joined Esmerk Limited again in 1999 as a Global Accounts Manager, responsible for identifying and closing new business with international companies.

In 2006, Andrew became the Head of Sales and Marketing at Esmerk GmbH, the German subsidiary of Esmerk Group. Andrew was based in Würzburg and responsible for business development in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. Esmerk GmbH later became part of the M-Brain Group, and Andrew continued their role until 2012.

Following that, Andrew served as the Head of Sales & Marketing - DACH Countries at M-Brain GmbH from 2012 to 2015. Andrew managed a sales and marketing team of six in the DACH region and oversaw the integration of Esmerk's services with M-Brain's portfolio.

From 2015 to 2021, Andrew worked at CID GmbH as a Sales Manager with responsibilities in Europe and North America. Andrew identified and developed new corporate clients, offering visualizations, insights, and actionable intelligence from enriched data sources.

Most recently, Andrew joined IPlytics GmbH in 2021 as a Sales Manager, focusing on sales opportunities in the German business and market intelligence sector.

Throughout their career, Andrew has demonstrated expertise in sales, business development, and management in the field of market intelligence.

Andrew Garrett received their Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Economics (International Relations) from The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) from 1980 to 1983. During this time, they studied subjects such as Economics, International Politics and History, International Law, Government, with a specific focus on Germany (East-West). Andrew also pursued German language studies at inlingua Würzburg from 2006 to 2015, achieving a C1 level of proficiency (although not certified). Prior to their university education, Andrew completed their A levels in French, History, Economics, and Politics at Abingdon School from 1974 to 1979.
