Vitor Miranda currently serves as a Bolsista de Investigação at IPMA Instituto Português do Mar e da Atmosfera, focusing on the LandSAF project under EUMETSAT since December 2021. Previous experience includes a position as a Bolsista de Treinamento e Capacitação Técnica at FAPERJ, analyzing human mortality rates related to heat in the Rio de Janeiro Metropolitan Area from May 2021 to January 2022, and as a Colaborador de pesquisa at Light, where Vitor worked on a P&D project related to forecasting critical loss based on weather behavior and load in January to December 2021. Additionally, Vitor was a Bolsista de Mestrado at CAPES from September 2017 to April 2019, studying extreme drought events in the Amazon Basin through remote sensing and hydrometeorological reconstructions. Vitor Miranda holds a PhD in Remote Sensing from the University of Valencia (2021-2025), a Master's degree in Meteorology from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (2017-2020), and a Bachelor's degree in Mathematical and Earth Sciences with a focus on Remote Sensing and Geoprocessing from the same institution (2010-2017).
