Miatta Fahnbulleh

Miatta Fahnbulleh currently serves as a Member of Parliament for Peckham and as Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State in the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero, both positions held since July 2024. Prior to this, Miatta was the Labour Parliamentary Candidate for Peckham from November 2022 to July 2024 and served as Chief Executive Officer at the New Economics Foundation from November 2017 to April 2024. Miatta has also been a Director of Policy and Research at IPPR since January 2017, where the focus is on leading the policy and research program of the UK's leading progressive think tank. Additionally, Miatta has been a Director at Poleis Limited since October 2015. Educational qualifications include a Doctor of Philosophy in Economic Development from The London School of Economics and Political Science and a Bachelor's Degree in Politics, Philosophy, and Economics from the University of Oxford.
