Tyler Wellensiek

Tyler Wellensiek has extensive work experience in various roles, primarily focused on organizational development, workforce capability, and project management. Tyler has worked at Ipswich City Council as a Culture Transformation Lead and Organizational Development Consultant, where they designed and implemented strategies to attract and develop employees and enhance organizational culture. Tyler also managed leadership development programs and conducted employee experience surveys. Prior to that, they worked at the State Library of Queensland, holding roles such as Lead, Projects and Strategic Projects Officer. Tyler was responsible for delivering professional development to library staff, increasing libraries' capability, and supporting public libraries through training and financial support. Tyler also worked at the Public Safety Business Agency as a Training and Development Manager, where they managed and delivered training courses and developed online training materials. Sometime before that, Tyler worked at the State Library of Queensland as a Project Officer and Desktop Support Officer. Tyler conducted library support trips, managed a team of Project Officers, and provided ICT support to Indigenous communities. Additionally, they have experience in marketing, advertising, and graphic design from their roles at Print Blocks Pty Ltd, eBoxers Online, Inc., and Columbia Missourian.

In 2021 to 2022, Tyler attended QUT (Queensland University of Technology), where they obtained an Executive Graduate Certificate in Leadership Coaching.

From 2007 to 2008, Tyler pursued a Masters degree in New Media Arts at The Australian National University.

Between 2001 and 2005, Tyler completed a Bachelor's degree in Advertising and Spanish at the University of Missouri-Columbia.

In addition to formal education, Tyler has obtained several certifications, including being a Prosci® Certified Change Practitioner through Prosci. They were also an Endorsed LGBTI Trainer through Pride in Diversity in August 2020.
