Lau Zuydervelt

Lau Zuydervelt has a wide range of work experience spanning over two decades. Currently, they are working at Irdeto as the Director of Product, responsible for creating new products and improving existing ones in the anti-piracy and cybersecurity services sector. Prior to this, Lau held the role of Business Development and Strategic Program Director at Irdeto, where they developed business opportunities and strategies for growth.

Before joining Irdeto, Lau worked as a Product Manager, combining their technological knowledge with market trends and customer requirements to drive the growth of watermarking and cybersecurity services. Additionally, they served as a Senior Solutions Architect, where they translated requirements into technical solutions for customer satellite and broadband VOD delivery and security.

In their earlier career, Lau held positions at Nedbank, where they were involved in the development and infrastructure support team, ensuring maximum system availability and stability. They also served as a Database Development Lead, responsible for designing and leading the development of databases for the personal loans new business acquisition system.

Lau has also worked as a Design and Development Consultant for Absa Group, where they implemented an IFRS reporting system. Additionally, they held various roles, including Database Development Lead, at Hollard Insurance, Swiss Re, Afrox, and Dimension Data. Throughout their career, Lau has demonstrated their expertise in software development, database management, and strategic leadership.

Lau Zuydervelt completed the Programme for Management Development (PMD) at the GIBS Business School (Gordon Institute of Business Science) in 2017. In 1998, Lau also studied Computer Science at the CTI Education Group.
