Ozgun Mert Yalcinkaya is a software engineer with experience in various companies. Ozgun Mert most recently worked at Irdeto as a Software Engineer on the OWL Team, focusing on TraceMark Technology. In this role, they were responsible for porting Image Processing algorithms from Python to C, utilizing serial C99, SIMD (AVX/SSE) Vectorization, and OpenMP multithreading for performance optimization.
Prior to that, Ozgun worked at Accerion as a Software Engineer from 2017 to 2022. Ozgun Mert was primarily involved in creating computer vision and image processing algorithms on an embedded system. This included designing from scratch, implementing using C++, and optimizing performance. Ozgun Mert was also responsible for creating and maintaining network communication of the sensor using UDP and TCP/IP.
Before their time at Accerion, Ozgun served as a Graduate Intern at Sigma Designs in 2015. Their role involved developing algorithms for image enhancement using grass texture synthesis, implementing them in C/C++, and real-time implementation on a GPU using CUDA.
Ozgun began their career as an intern at Aselsan in 2012. Here, they designed I2C and RS-232 hardware using VHDL and developed a graphical user interface for them using Xilinx EDK (C). Additionally, they implemented Pulse Width Modulation using VHDL and FPGA.
Throughout their work experience, Ozgun has demonstrated expertise in software engineering, algorithm development, image processing, performance optimization, and hardware design.
Ozgun Mert Yalcinkaya began their education at Istanbul Erkek Lisesi from 2004 to 2009, focusing on Maths & Science. Ozgun Mert then proceeded to Sabanci University from 2009 to 2013, where they obtained their Bachelor's Degree in Electronics Engineering. Building on this foundation, Ozgun pursued their Master's Degree in Embedded Systems at Eindhoven University of Technology from 2013 to 2016. Additionally, they obtained a certification in Robotics: Perception from Coursera in June 2018.
